Transpositions

Everybody has a limit to their vocal range which can prevent a singer performing a particular chosen song.

Music can be transposed into any chosen key, or up/down any interval. But If you are not sure what key would suit you best then simply 'a bit higher' or 'a bit lower' would be adequate instructions. Once you have received your score, if you feel that the music still isn't in a suitable key then another transposition into another key can be provided for no extra cost.

Song transpositions would, of course, include the melody and accompaniment.

The actual transposition process is very quick but first the music must be typeset. Whether the music is to be transposed into one or several keys it only needs to be typeset once.

Transposing instruments can also create complicated problems for the performer. For example a single line melody of a piano piece would need to be transposed in order that a clarinet in Bb could play along with the piano. Any piece, or part of a piece of music can be transposed to or from concert pitch for the necessary transposing instrument.

Again, the actual transposition process is very quick but first the music needs to be typeset. To see some examples of completed typeset scores please use the Examples link on each page.
